| The activities of the university in the Mozyr region began in March 1944 on the basis of the Rogachev Teachers' Institute. The institute consisted of three departments: language and literature, physics and mathematics, and historical and geographical, which were attended by 210 people. The structure of the institute included 7 departments, which employed 27 teachers. The first graduation of specialists took place in 1946. 190 teachers of history, language and literature, physics and mathematics, natural history and geography were sent to Polesye schools. In 1952, by the Decree of the Council of Ministers No. 999 of July 22, 1952, the Mozyr Teachers' Institute was reorganized into the Mozyr Pedagogical Institute. In 1964, by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR, the Mozyr State Pedagogical Institute was named after N.K. Krupskaya. |
At present, the university has a well-deserved status of a specialized (pedagogical) university and, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 500 dated 04.08.2006, bears the name of the famous literary and socio-political figure Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin.
Branches, faculties and departments have received significant development. Their opening and reorganization took place taking into account the needs of the region in teaching staff. The dynamics of the development of the university during its existence indicates a significant increase in the potential for improving the professional level of the teaching staff, improving and developing infrastructure, improving the quality of educational and scientific processes.
The 70-year path of the university's formation was full of various events and is inextricably linked with the development of the Republic of Belarus. Over the years, more than 40 thousand specialists have been trained.
The material and technical base of the university, which meets modern requirements, has a wide range of technical facilities (11 computer classes, 5 language laboratories, about 80 specialized rooms, laboratories and workshops, sports and gyms), also allows you to provide the educational process at the highest level.
In recent years, 3 faculties have been opened (biological, pre-university training and career guidance, retraining and advanced training of personnel), a center for ideological work, an information and computing center, a research institute for regional problems of rehabilitation and folk culture, a center for Russian studies. The development of all activities of the University is carried out in accordance with the Development Program for 2011-2015, approved by the University Council.
Today, the UO MSPU named after I.P. Shamyakin is 4 educational buildings, in which there are 9 faculties, uniting 27 departments. The number of full-time and part-time students is about 6000 people.
Students and undergraduates study in a wide range of specialties, specializations and areas that are in demand in the region.
Postgraduate studies of the university prepare specialists of the highest scientific qualification in 6 specialties. The effectiveness of the work on the training of highly qualified personnel is confirmed by the successful defense of candidate and doctoral dissertations. Over the past five years, teachers and staff of the university have defended 5 doctoral and more than 20 master's theses.
The closest attention is paid to the conditions of study and living of students. The university dormitories are provided with proper conditions that meet state social standards. There is a sanatorium-dispensary in which about 1000 students improve their health per year. In addition, university students annually undergo rehabilitation in the sanatoriums of the republic.
The representation of the university at the international level is carried out through scientific and cultural ties, as well as high performance sports. The honorary mission to once again represent the university at the international level (Olympics in London) as part of the national Olympic team fell on the shoulders of 15 representatives of the university, who won 1 silver and two bronze medals.

HELLO FRESHMAN!
In the first days of September, the trade union activists of the faculties of the EE of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakina and the chairman of the primary trade union organization V.V. Strukov held meetings with 1st year students.
During the meeting, the students were acquainted with the goals and objectives of the Belarusian Trade Union of Education and Science Workers, and also spoke in detail about the activities of the tourist and excursion subsidiary of the unitary enterprise "Belarustourist", "Belprofsoyuzkurort" and made a presentation of the activities of the primary trade union organization of the university.

On July 5, 2018, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Igor Vasilievich Karpenko paid a working visit to the educational institution “Mozyr State Pedagogical University named after. I.P. Shamyakin, where he met with the workforce and student youth of the university.
Speaking to the audience, the Minister spoke in detail about the tasks facing the education system, about the new edition of the Education Code, and the conceptual approaches to the development of education adopted by the Republican Pedagogical Council.

Adoption at a distance
May 18, 2018 in the main building of the Mozyr State Pedagogical University. I.P. Shamyakin” a meeting was held between the chairman of the trade union committee of students Strukov V.V. and representatives of the Italian Foundation "Let's Help Them Live" represented by the head of the project "Adoption of students at a distance" Luciano Braconi and Piero Frattaroli, a member of the Foundation's Administrative Council, on issues of further cooperation, holding a student forum in the city of Grodno.

On February 27, 2018, a competition of national cuisine for foreign students was held in hostel No. 3, organized by the department for educational work with youth together with the trade union committee of students.

The contestants (girls and boys) prepared superbly. Each team prepared several sweet dishes: brushwood, halva, pies with various fillings, pancakes, pies, muffins, etc. The participants of the competition told the audience about the peculiarities of cooking national dishes, while everyone was dressed in the national clothes of their country.

Charity event "Visiting a fairy tale"
On October 11, representatives of student self-government, specialists of the SPPS and the chairman of the trade union committee of students Strukov V.V. held a charity event dedicated to Mother's Day for pupils of the State Educational Institution "Social and Pedagogical Center".
A game program "Visiting a Fairy Tale" was prepared for the children, which included many contests, games, dance and musical numbers. “Risk Triumphs” and History Pages
October 8, 2017 students of the Faculty of Philology and the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education (Deputy Dean for Educational Work I.L. Sudibor, curators L.M. Shetsko, N.A. Borisenko) with the support of the trade union committee of students (Chairman V.V. Strukov ) visited the city of Gomel with an excursion program.
The first part of the trip included visiting the Gomel State Circus. The exciting performance “Triumphants of Risk” left no one indifferent. Masterful acrobatic numbers, the most dangerous stunts without insurance, miracles of training, tricks, mischievous and incendiary humor were demonstrated by the laureates of international circus festivals. The performance impressed the audience so much that they did not let the artists go for a long time, greeting them with a stormy long applause.
The second part of the trip was devoted to visiting the visiting card of the city above the Sozh - the Gomel palace and park complex. An architectural monument of the late 18th century - the Rumyantsevs and Paskevichs, as well as the informative story of the guide, made it possible to plunge into distant history. And, of course, how could one not enjoy a walk through a magnificent park decorated with autumn leaf fall.

On February 2, 2017, as part of the events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, as well as in connection with the announcement of 2017 as the Year of the students of the EE of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after. The tour was organized by the Council of Young Scientists and Student scientific society with the support of the primary trade union organization of university students.

Students of the Moscow State Pedagogical University I.P. Shamyakina at the festival of youth creativity "Student autumn"
At the initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus within three days, from 15 to 17 November, representatives of 38 Belarusian universities participated in festival of youth creativity "Student autumn"
in Minsk, where they were able to show their creative abilities and ask topical questions that concern students.
On Tuesday, November 15 with the participation of the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus Michael Horde and Minister of Education Mikhail Zhuravkov, as well as heads of large industrial enterprises of the country passed student summit "Vector of Growth" , within the framework of which the awarding of student trade union activists - laureates of the FPB scholarship took place. The same evening, the solemn opening of the “Student Autumn” was held at the site of the Minsk State Linguistic University. The mood for the most anticipated youth event of the autumn was set by the finalists of the Republican trade union competition of creativity of labor collectives “New Names of Belarus” and Belarusian pop stars.
The second day of the festival, November 16, became the most intense and eventful day - competitive tests revealed the best in the nominations "Vocal", "Instrumental genre", "Choreography", "Original genre". 5th year student of the Faculty of Physics and Engineering of the Ural State Pedagogical University. I.P. Shamyakina Andrey Efremov took 3rd place in the nomination "Instrumental genre". Participants were also able to attend specialized master classes of professionals in their field. Student Forum
From May 13 to May 15, 2016, the VI Republican Student Forum was held in Mogilev, organized by the HELP THEM TO LIVE Foundation (Italy) and the educational institution Mogilev State University them. The activities of the Mozyr State Pedagogical University began in 1944 on the basis of the Rogochev Teachers' Institute. The institute included 7 departments and three departments: language and literature, physics and mathematics, and historical and geographical.
In 1952, the Mozyr Teachers' Institute was reorganized into the Mozyr State Pedagogical Institute.
In 1964, the institute was named after N.K. Krupskaya.
During its activity, the university has undergone repeated reorganization and renaming. Currently, the university has the status of a university and is named after Ivan Petrovich Shamyakin.
The departments, faculties and departments of the university have received significant development. Their opening and reorganization took place taking into account the needs of the region.
Over the years of the university's existence, more than 40 thousand specialists have been trained. About 60% of the teaching staff are university graduates.
The material and technical base meets modern requirements and includes a wide range of technical means, which makes it possible to ensure the educational process at the highest level.
During recent years 3 faculties, a center for ideological work, and an information and computing center were opened at the university. A research institute for regional problems of rehabilitation and folk culture, a center for Russian studies, has been established.
Today Mozyr State University named after I.P. Shamyakina - these are 4 educational buildings, which house 10 faculties, which unite 32 departments. The number of full-time and part-time students exceeds 8000 people.
The university has postgraduate and master's programs.
To date, the Moscow State Pedagogical University has become a major educational, scientific and cultural center of the Belarusian Polissya.
Department of Biology
The Faculty of Biology was opened in September 2006. However, its history began in 1996, when the Department of Ecology and Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge was formed at the university.
Two years later, the personnel potential and material and technical equipment made it possible to open a new specialty - "Biology. Nature Protection". In 2002, the Faculty of Physical Education was formed and the Department of Ecology and Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge is part of it. In 2003, on the basis of the department, the Department "Biology, Nature Protection" was formed, which became the basis for the creation of the Faculty of Biology.
The faculty includes 2 departments:
Department of Biology;
Department of nature management and nature protection.
At the departments of the faculty, 34 employees of the teaching staff work on a permanent basis, of which: 1 professor, doctor of science; 14 associate professors, candidates of sciences; 14 teachers without a degree; 5 laboratory assistants.
The faculty has 11 specialized laboratories and classrooms and 3 lecture halls.
At present, the faculty trains specialists in the biological profile in the specialty 1-02 04 04-03 "Biology. Nature Protection". Since the beginning of the opening of the faculty, more than 520 teachers - biologists have been trained in full-time and part-time forms of education.
Faculty of pre-university training and career guidance
The Faculty of Pre-University Training and Career Guidance was established in 1994 on the basis of the preparatory department that had been functioning at the institute since 1975.
The main tasks of the faculty:
organization and coordination of career guidance work carried out by deans, departments and educational authorities of the Gomel region;
carrying out activities to improve the level of general education and pedagogical training young people entering universities;
organization and holding of events for professional orientation and preparation of young people for entering the Pedagogical University (Olympiads in the subjects of entrance examinations, Open Doors Days, field trips to schools in the Polesye region);
cooperation with secondary and secondary specialized educational institutions in Mozyr, Kalinkovichi, and others settlements Gomel region;
work with teachers of secondary schools in the Gomel region (conducting scientific and methodological seminars);
increasing the effectiveness of training sessions at the preparatory department and preparatory courses;
organizing and conducting rehearsal and centralized testing for admission to higher educational institutions.
In the process of solving these problems, the gap between the level of preparation of students in secondary school and the requirements of the university is overcome, the knowledge of the most capable young people who are interested in technical, natural and humanities. The educational process is focused on working with school graduates of past years who need to repeat the school curriculum in subjects entrance exams, according to any form of education convenient for them: full-time or part-time. Students from among students of secondary, secondary special educational institutions have the opportunity to prepare for entrance examinations at evening preparatory courses. Scientific and methodological support educational process is carried out through the publication of methodological manuals developed by teachers working at the faculty.
Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education
In 1960, at the Mozyr State pedagogical institute faculty opened primary school, which in 1964 was renamed the Faculty of Pedagogy and Methods primary education, and in 2006 - to the Faculty of Preschool and Primary Education.
On September 1, 1962, the first department began to operate at the faculty - methods of primary education.
Now the faculty provides vocational training personnel with higher education in full-time education in the following specialties:
Primary education. Practical psychology (Lecturer. Teacher-psychologist);
Primary education. Musical Art (Teacher);
Preschool education. Speech therapy (Teacher. Teacher-speech therapist);
Preschool education. Physical culture (Teacher. Lecturer)
Correspondence education provides training in an abbreviated form (4 years of study) in the following specialties:
Primary education;
Preschool education.
The educational process at the faculty provides five departments:
Department of Pedagogy of Primary Education,
department practical psychology and defectology,
Department of Methods of Primary Education,
Department of Music and Music Teaching Methods,
Department of the Belarusian language.
The faculty has 44 teachers, 17 of them are candidates of science. The faculty staff provides training for 588 full-time students, 571 part-time students. Part-time students have secondary specialized education and are trained according to an abbreviated program.
Faculty of Engineering and Education
In connection with the development of the system of vocational education and the need to train engineering and pedagogical personnel, in 1976, at the Mozyr State Pedagogical Institute, at the Faculty of General Technical Disciplines and Physics, students were trained in the specialty "Teacher of General Technical Disciplines and Labor" with the qualification "Teacher master of general technical disciplines and labor".
Since September 1982, the Faculty of General Technical Disciplines and Labor was organized, which in 1989 was transformed into an engineering and pedagogical faculty.
The faculty includes 5 departments:
fundamentals of mechanical engineering and methods of teaching mechanical engineering disciplines,
fundamentals of construction and methods of teaching construction disciplines,
agroengineering and methods of teaching agroengineering disciplines,
economy,
psychology.
At the departments of the faculty, 66 employees of the teaching and service staff work on a permanent basis, of which: 4 professors, doctors of sciences; 21 associate professors, candidates of sciences and 28 teachers without a degree, 13 laboratory assistants and 4 masters of industrial training.
The faculty has 15 specialized laboratories and lecture halls, 6 educational workshops.
Currently, the faculty trains specialists in engineering and pedagogical profile in the specialty 1-08 01 01 "Professional training" in five areas of the specialty: "Mechanical Engineering", "Construction", "Agricultural Engineering", "Economics and Management", "Energy".
Since the beginning of the opening of the faculty, more than 6300 engineers-teachers have been trained in full-time and part-time forms of higher education.
Faculty of Public Professions
The Faculty of Public Professions combines several areas in its composition: musical activity, technical creativity, folk crafts, arts and crafts, etc.
The purpose of the work of this faculty is the development and improvement of the creative abilities of students and the training of teachers of additional education.
As part of its activities, the Faculty of Public Professions solves the following tasks:
Formation of artistic and aesthetic taste among university students, preservation and enhancement of cultural values, revival and development of folk art, fine and decorative arts.
Organization of free time.
Introduction to the educational process of work in associations of modern technologies of artistic creativity.
Creating conditions to meet the needs of students in the field of artistic development.
Implementation of the Policy and achievement of objectives in the field of quality within the functions assigned to the Faculty of Public Professions.
Faculty of Technology
The history of the faculty began in 1969, when the Mozyr State Pedagogical Institute named after N. K. Krupskaya opened the training of teachers in the specialty 2120 "general technical disciplines and labor" with an additional specialty "physics". And from January 1, 1972, the Faculty of General Technical Disciplines, Labor and Physics was opened.
During the activity of the faculty, more than six thousand specialists have been trained, who work in all regions and cities of Belarus and abroad.
The main activities of the faculty from the moment of its inception to the present time is the training of highly qualified personnel in the field of labor training for general education schools, out-of-school educational institutions, the secondary special education The Republic of Belarus.
Today, the Faculty of Technology is the leader in the development of the Concept and the Educational Standard for the subject of the general education school "Labor Training", as well as the educational standard and model curricula for institutions of higher education.

Faculty of Physics and Mathematics
The Faculty of Physics and Mathematics is one of the oldest faculties of the university - it was opened in 1944.
Currently, the faculty is training teaching staff on a full-time basis for higher education in the following specialties:

"Mathematics. Informatics";
"Informatics. Foreign language (English).
“Applied Mathematics (Scientific and Pedagogical Activity)” with the qualification “Mathematician-Programmer. Teacher of Mathematics and Informatics.
Together with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the faculty provides training in the specialty "Public Administration and Economics" by correspondence remote form training in the following way:
1-2 courses at the EE of the Moscow State Pedagogical University named after I.P. Shamyakina,
3-5 courses at the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

Faculty of Physical Education
The physical education classroom opened in 1954 can be considered the forerunner of the Faculty of Physical Education.
And the faculty itself was opened on April 21, 2001.
The opening of the faculty, due to the lack of specialists in physical culture, made it possible to concentrate here the most serious scientific and sports-pedagogical team of the Polesye region for training personnel with higher education in the field of physical culture.
Currently, the faculty has the following departments:
Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education,
Department of Physical Education,
Department of sports disciplines.
The faculty trains specialists in 3 specialties with 3 specializations in full-time and part-time departments:
Physical education. Special training;
Physical education. Coaching by sport (athletics, kayaking and canoeing);
Physical education. Sports and recreational and tourist and recreational activities.
The total number of students in the full-time department is 476 people (of which 224 students are on a budgetary basis, 252 students study on an extrabudgetary (paid) basis; correspondence department 426 people are studying (of which 167 students are on a budgetary basis, 259 students are studying on an extra-budgetary (paid) basis).
More than 50 teachers work on a permanent basis at the departments of the faculty, including 2 professors, 10 candidates of sciences, 8 associate professors, 1 honored trainer of the Republic of Belarus.
To ensure the educational process, there is a stadium, 2 flat structures, 3 sports halls, an adapted room for special medical groups, a shooting range, a ski base, and a gym.
Faculty of Philology
The history of the faculty began in 1944 with the establishment of the department of language and literature within the walls of the university. In 1952, the department was transformed into the Faculty of Language and Literature, and in 1956, into the Faculty of Philology.
Initially, the faculty trained teachers of the Belarusian language and literature, Russian language and literature.
But since the mid-90s, the process of expanding the range of areas for preparing students has been activated. So, meeting the needs of the time, from 1996 to 2007. The following specialties were introduced at the faculty:
"Russian language and literature. History";
"Belarusian language and literature. World and national culture";
"History. Socio-political disciplines".
The introduction of new specialties led to a change in the structure of the faculty. Now it consists of eight departments:

At present, the faculty provides philological, historical, cultural, psychological and pedagogical training of students. Training is conducted by experienced teachers, among whom 60% are candidates and doctors of science.
At the departments, postgraduate students are trained in three scientific specialties and undergraduates in the specialty "Linguistics".
The faculty has developed and is implementing a comprehensive program for the development of the faculty, the Program for Innovative Development for 2008-2015. Work continues on opening new specialties, research laboratories, strengthening the human resources and material base of the departments, updating the content and technologies for training specialists, taking into account the trends in the development of school and university education.
Faculty of advanced training and retraining of personnel
The faculty of advanced training and retraining of personnel was established in December 2007 and is a structural subdivision of the university.
The faculty provides training in the following specialties:
Accounting and control in industry. Qualification of an accountant-economist (full-time evening and correspondence forms of education);
Practical psychology. Qualification: teacher-psychologist (full-time evening form of education);
Preschool education. Qualification: teacher ( extramural getting an education);
Psychological and pedagogical support for the development of the child at home. Qualification: teacher-educator (correspondence form of education);
speech therapy. Qualification: speech therapist (correspondence form of education)
Information systems software. Qualification: software engineer (full-time evening form of education).
Students of the faculty are persons who have higher education, and students of 4-5 courses of higher educational institutions.
